Físico Apolo del dolor te mueve,
que el sentimiento general anima,
no ya la fiebre venenosa oprima,
cuanto de amor a la beldad se debe.

Naturaleza victoriosa pruebe,
a no rendirse, cuando más lastima,
y liberal alguna vez redima,
en lo admirable la pensión de breve.

Y yo Sacra Deidad, que en las legiones
de Espíritus, que en paz viven contigo,
admites humos de devoto Templo.

Sin todas las humanas perfecciones
niegas la duración para castigo,
permítenos alguna para ejemplo.
