- XCIV - A la concepción purísima de Nuestra Señora en un certamen

Virgen, esta opinión, que se levanta,
y culpa original se considera,
bien sabe, que purísima, y sincera
oprimís de la sierpe la garganta.

Cuando se inclina servil una planta,
de Fabio Agricultor mano severa,
por conseguir la rectitud primera,
la tuerce al otro extremo, o la quebranta.

Hubo quien os creyese concebida,
sin obra de varón, y sin efecto,
de la preciosa sangre redimida.

Y por poner en fiel nuestro concepto,
(sin que os hiciesen Dios por parecida)
el artificio os finge aquel defecto.
