la muerte ordena el tierno Polidoro.

¿A qué no obligarás, hambre del oro
sacrílega codicia del dinero,
si quebrantas el inviolable fuero
del sagrado hospedaje y real decoro?

Con justa indignación reprueba el suelo
la culpa avara del cruel tirano,
que poco gozará tales despojos.

Nueva venganza le previene el cielo;
porque de una mujer la débil mano
hará que su castigo vea sin ojos.
