Dulce reposo de mi entendimiento;
dulce placer fundado sobre bueno;
dulce saber, que de saber soy lleno,
pues tengo de mi bien conocimiento.

Dulce gozar de un dulce sentimiento,
viendo mi cielo estar claro y sereno,
y dulce resolver sobre mi seno,
con firme concluir, que estoy contento.

Dulce gustar de un no sé qué sin nombre,
que Amor dentro en mi alma poner quiso,
cuando mi mal sanó con gran renombre.

Dulce pensar que estoy en paraíso,
sino que, en fin, me acuerdo que soy hombre,
y en las cosas del mundo tomo aviso.
