¿No basta el mal a siempre fatigarme,
sin que también el bien me dé tormento?
Yo estaba ya conmigo en buen asiento,
para cuanto dolor quisiesen darme.
Podía el no esperar harto ayudarme,
y, por vieja costumbre, el pensamiento
hallaba en el penar contentamiento,
o cosa que bastaba a contentarme.
Aún me estorba el Amor tan bajo he estado
dándome de placer alguna vista,
con la cual se revuelve mi cuidado,
y el mal con quien yo estaba concertado
con el venir del bien se me enemista,
y vuele a andar mi reino levantado.
