¿Qué es esto? ¿El orbe en uno y otro hermano
el Júpiter de España ha dividido?
¿Del primero, a la vaina reducido,
el acero de Marte hereda Jano?

¿Goza en Europa el lauro soberano
su nombre, por aciertos, repetido,
en tanto que de haberos oprimido,
da al segundo el tridente el Océano?

Ensalza en las Américas regiones
el tercero al monarca sin segundo,
pues su lealtad no muda de hemisferio.

Carlos, si por premiar a tres campeones
te fue preciso dividir el mundo,
¿qué espacio será límite a tu imperio?
