Honor si dais licencia a que fabrique
sospechas el temor que os desvanece,
a Enrique la Duquesa favorece.
¿Osaréis afirmar que quiere a Enrique?

Por ella es mayordomo; multiplique
nobles cargos en él, pues los merece;
la consulta le alcanza, bien parece
que a un sabio mis despechos comunique.

Hízole Conde; ya, sospechas, pasa
de lo justo el favor que manifiesta
quien con tanta eficacia a honrarle acude.

Yo, honor, no afirmo que por él se abrasa;
mas para deslucir su fama honesta,
basta dar ocasión a que se dude.
