Finjo, por divertirme del tormento,
o que alargo, o que rompo la cadena,
y cuando floja, o desatada suena,
más apretadas las prisiones siento.
Si luz figuro, y desengaño miento,
que alumbra la razón, o que la ordena,
más ciego, y más rendido de mi pena,
no alcanza la razón del escarmiento.
Lesbia, yo moriré de ti ofendido,
y tuyo moriré, que no hay ofensa,
que amor no la disculpe, o la perdone.
Mas firme me verás aborrecido:
excesiva cruel, ingrata piensa,
quien ama todo, o todo lo dispone.
