No de donante diestra tan furioso
rompiendo cielos baja el rayo horrendo
no tanta luz su luz, terror su estruendo
reparte al ciego, infunde al religioso.

Cuanto terror y luz, Cisne glorioso,
cuanto furor animas descubriendo
iras de Jove y de su horror tremendo
amenazado el impío en el piadoso.

Tiembla a tu ardiente pluma el obstinado
ya tus números vota, como a templo,
gratitud noble de impiedad confusa.

Deponga rayos Júpiter airado,
y el asombro remita y el ejemplo
al numeroso rayo de tu Musa.
