- XXVIII -
Es cierto que pensé que ya podía
libre vivir de amor y su cuidado,
viviendo como hombre escarmentado
en ajena cabeza y en la mía.
Revuelto a la razón su fantasía,
a nuevo amor, amor me ha sujetado,
y estoy tal que aborrezco lo pasado,
sólo cuento por bien el este día.
Mas con todo el amor estoy riñendo
y dígole: «Rapaz, ciego, desnudo,
¿y a qué fin has querido enamorarme?»
De afrenta de esto me está respondiendo:
«Más bien te dan que a nadie dar se pudo,
¿y a trueque de esto quieres blasfemarme?»
