Sueños de amor me traen en gran duda,
yo no estoy ya para sufrir rebatos.
Pudiera el seso andar con estos tratos,
si fuera mi fortuna menos cruda.
Ahora el alma queda muy desnuda;
ya se perdieron todos sus baratos.
Ha de gastar sus tiempos y sus ratos
en ser en todo sorda, ciega y muda.
Cual digo estoy, y viene la afición
trayendo el bien y el mal a presentarme.
Yo, viendo en mi, que entre ellos me detengo,
el mal escojo por determinarme.
mas, luego, el bien remuerde al corazón
y he dolor de perder lo que tengo.
