Amor me tiene por su desenfado,
por descargar en mí toda su saña;
y así, quienquiera sea quien le ensaña,
que yo he de ser contino el castigado.
No sé qué tema es esta que ha tomado,
de buscar siempre cuanto a mí me daña;
tiene sed de mi sangre, tan extraña,
que todo su sabor es mi cuidado.
Haga de mí, pues, ya cuanto quisiere;
acabe ya, o yo acabaré presto,
que un hombre soy, en fin, que nace y muere.
Un hombre de contrarios soy compuesto;
si amor no templa el golpe que me diere,
mi ser destruirá su presupuesto.
