Probado e muchas veces, en diez años
que voy siguiendo aquesta mi porfía,
si estando ausente y la memoria mía
dejase de acordarse de mis daños.
Mas siempre ellos vivía y sin engaños,
y en vos que los causáis de cada día
está pensando más que si os veía
el vuestro gesto y modo tan extraños.
Si ser presente estoy con vos hablando
lo que hablaros siempre fue vedado;
sin vos, en vos estoy siempre pensando.
La causa que ante vos me quedo helado
sin declararme y siempre estar callando,
es ver en vos más bien de lo pensado.
