El tiempo vuelve y bullen esperanzas;
yo estoy atento a ver que a de ser esto.
Un corazón tan flaco no es dispuesto
a sostener las prósperas mudanzas.
Señales hay de no sé qué bonanzas;
no las tengo por buenas, si son presto.
Ver en mis enemigos tan buen gesto,
me pone más dudosas confianzas.
Yo estaba sosegado en mis tristuras,
muy contento de muy determinado;
tenía bien harta mis desventuras.
Estando así, sin gozos ni amarguras,
sin soledad, del bien todo olvidado,
revuelven a matarme sus blanduras.
