¡Oh piadoso cristal, que me colocas
(estando en su querer tan apartado)
de aquella dulce mi enemiga al lado,
mientras se cubre con injustas tocas!
Veo juntos los ojos, veo las bocas,
y su divino rostro no alterado;
¿Haste por dicha el corazón mudado,
y sus desdenes ásperos revocas?
En parte creo que sí; porque no puede
causarle alteración alguna cosa,
mientras en ti mirare su figura.
Y estar tan cerca ahora me concede
por no turbar su vista deleitosa;
que hasta en esto es amable su hermosura.
