Este prolijo y tenebroso día,
el cual con piedra negra notar quiero,
memoria es dignamente del primero
de mi vida, si es vida aquesta mía.

Entonces lo lloraba en profecía,
y de su soledad tomando agüero,
en tanto que viviere ya no espero
tener en él sucesos de alegría.

Odioso me será, y odioso sea
al cielo y a la tierra eternamente,
pues en él se me esconde Galatea.

Entre las noches lóbregas se cuente,
y en él ninguna acción jamás se vea
digna de que la fama la sustente.
